Yes it is strange that we should both post something on file managers.

Having said that FileNotes is more of a document management system than an Explorer replacement. But then I was never very sure whatDopus was, I used it for a spell but it kept on crashing and I got fed up with it. That was version 6, I haven’t tried 8.

I first came across it in a software for the legal profession newsletter that I subscribe to, where it was being promoted by a user.

I’m not sure about sharing files across systems, it is pretty smart with these things. It seems as if all the information is stored in a file that is stored in each windows directory, if you move a file to another directory, the information is copied with it.

And I quote from the web site
