I agree this is the more attractive approach, but it does mean importing everything into the database, which is what I used to do with AskSam/InfoSelect.

Strangely, I would find the removal of the 32k limit more useful than RTF. I could then read all the text from within Zoot,but still use Zoots automatic file linking feature, to add new docments to the Zoot database without me needing to do anything.

Most of the time, as long as I can read the content, i can do without the formatting.
