I’ve got a Brainstorm model with 40 or so tree-based free-form databases, applications such as Treepad, Black Hole, Jot+, etc… I started this because I have been amused at how many of them there are out there, all claiming to be unique (and some do have unique features). This listing doesn’t include more advanced applications, such as InfoHandler and Zoot, just those applications that build their organization of your information around a hierarchical tree. I’d be happy to supply this information for this effort.
