Stephen,

Word doesn’t allow you to view the outline in outline mode and in flattened mode simultaneously. This, to me, is a key feature of my ideal model. Being able to see your structure while composing the text.

But, you are correct, that I under appreciate Word’s many features. I’m sure I could make much better use of it if I were to try. Of course, I think that is true of many of the programs we discuss.
