Not unless, it would seem to me, he actually attained the rank of Admiral. To call him ‘Admiral,’ were he was only a captain or even Commodore, could be looked at as poking fun. Therefore, unlikely: I don’t take the Zooters to be people who cut close to the edge of propriety, and the rarity of someone attaining the rank of Admiral makes the other half of that lemma unlikely.
