I have the same issues. I used to carry a shorthand notebook with me all the time and note everything down in it. Telephone conversations, bright ideas, software error messages - everything went in the notebook. When it was full, I marked up the cover with the start and end dates and it was filed in a box. Many times I have gone back to these notebooks to find information that otherwise would have been lost.

Now, even with the Palm, writing notes on it is a chore, and far less is recorded.

I didn’t use it for todos/apointments however, these were still tracked on the PC, but regularly printed out as hard copy.  However, as paper copy I found them more available some how, than elctronic equivalents.

I may re-think things again.
