Here’s a pim I just discovered—priced to compete with the likes of MyInfo3 and UltraRecall.

Here are some good things about it: 1) Combines plain text with advanced formatting capabilities, so you can use color and different fonts while still using essentially plain text. (Something BrainStorm might explore.); 2) Well-thought out means of reorganizing material, including excerpting parts of a note; 3) multi-selection; 4) can open multiple topics in floating windows; 5) integrates with NoteTab.

For better or worse, it isn’t hierarchical, except to the degree that it affords a few levels of containers. Documents: Catalogs: Topics.
