My project planner of choice is Project Kickstart which does exactly what is says it does - gets projects off the ground from scratch. However, its feature set (including gantt charts) is broad enough to operate as a standalone project manager and it has easy to use links with a whole host of other project managers, mind mapping and MS Office apps.

I’ve suggested to the author that he look at providing a direct link to Brainstorm but he’s busy doing XML coding at the moment.
