Thanks for the kind words, but the longer I am away from the ADM crowd, the weirder it all seems.

I mentioned that I put in a technical support request to ADM about two weeks ago. Yesterday I got an email from the other half of ADM, Arne Hermann. He informed me that my e-mail had been caught in a spam filter. The e-mail’s title included the words “TECHNICAL SUPPORT REQUEST FROM PAYING USER” in all caps.

Did he apologize for the mistake? Instead, he said I cannot blame ADM for not responding to an e-mail it didn’t receive! He warned me in the future to send e-mail plain text, because ADM doesn’t AS A RULE accept html email. It didn’t dawn on this business luminary that if he expected e-mail to arrive in a particular format, he had a duty to tell users BEFOREHAND, when he had promised them 24-hour technical support, .
There’s a level of egocentricity in ADM that infects the company and that cripples its product.
