Yes, I understand. I didn’t know you were referring to tree view.

As for the Speaker’s notes, the intent of that was as a means to display both a slide and speaker’s notes on one monitor, while a full-screen slide was displayed on a second monitor, visible to the audience. The visibility of that feature in outline and tree views was more by necessity and consistency than anything else; it’s understandable that you don’t feel it was well-integrated.

For what it’s worth: if you have enough slots and video cards, you could show the slide in one monitor for each card, each in a different display depth. I had 6 monitors running in slide show once upon a time, but I really doubt anyone took advantage of that feature.
