Not a thorough comparison, Stephen. I’d think, off the top, that ndxcards has more outlining capability.

I think TakeNote! is neater for pulling things together, and it has more of a biblio component.

I do wish the TakeNote! people would answer emails. It is a good product but one that is getting old in the tooth. Since I am hoping to do more serious academic writing, I’m learning to use the NotaBene I bought.

I suspect most of TakeNote!‘s revenue comes from being bundled with text books hitting the undergraduate mass market.
