I have FreeMind again. What I did in Visual Mind was _select_ Graphic Outliners AND Textual Outliners and then drag the selection to Outliners, FreeMind behaves like ADM. The selected subnode is both retained under its original parent AND made a sibling of that item.

Like Visual Mind’s approach, this too is logically stronger than the approach taken by NoteMap, Inspiration, by More from your description (and also very _consciously_ by ndxCards). Unlike Visual Mind’s approach, it is a strength which takes you in a direction you are unlikely to want to go.

I think reasonable people might differ on whether the approach taken by Visual Mind or NoteMap, etc. is better, but it seems to me the outcome that ADM and FreeMind generate probably counts as a bug.
