Jack,

After reading the answers to your postings at the Idea! forum, especially re making the UI more flexible, I am becoming more interested in the program. I find its main strengths are its database functions, currently let down by the UI; I admit that the fact that it’s European does influence me too.

As you have suggested, the Idea! Professional Edition seems to pack a lot of functionality. At Euro 139.14 (VAT included) it’s of course a significant investment as well.

I have tried the Free Edition and read the document re differences in versions
http://www.sycon.de/eng/res/overview_idea_features_full_version.html

There is no mention there of the Personal Edition, which in theory—based on its pricing at Euro 44.95- should precede the Pro. Frankly, I can’t understand the differences between the Free and the Personal, though I’ve been through the relevant pages.

Can you give me a pointer or tip on this?

alx
