FYI, the two lines of HTML I tried were:

[a href=“file://d:\temp\test.pdf”]test.pdf[/a]

[a href=“file://d:\temp\test.doc”]test.doc[/a]

substituting [ with < and ] with > of course; my mistake, I hadn’t realised that HTML within my text would be interpreted by the Outliners.com publishing back-end.
