Yes, I do think the quick jumps and views are useful in outlining. What I think needs more work are certain *core* outlining features.

Mark and gather is a core outlining feature. ADM implements it under a different jargon as super-copy and paste (which also had a broader purview than ordinary mark and gather).

But for it to be an adequate substitute for seeing the topics as marked within the outline, there must be some way to keep track of which topics have been collected. At a minimum the collector, functioning as as super clipboard, should actually show which items have been accumulated. It doesn’t.

Eric agreed with my suggestion. It simply hasn’t been given any importance because the outliner is view, apparently, as a completed product.

Mark and gather is at the core of modern outlining. Supercopy as currently constituted cannot count as an adequate implementation.
