My response to your post was simply that anything someone finds to be confusing is, by definition, counter-intuitive. In other words, in the above quotation, you provided you own example of where it was counter-intuitive. And I would agree with you.

If those aspects you had named, and with which I agree with on, were not confusing they would probably not be counter-intuitive.
