If anyone else has been getting this referer field undefined error, here’s the cause:

___________

. I receive the following error when trying to change home page
information or add a new thread topic to the discussion board: Sorry!
There was an error: Can’t evaluate the expression because the name
“referer” hasn’t been defined. The error was detected by Frontier 9.1b2
in mainResponder.respond. Webmaster:

. Time: Fri, 29 Aug
2003 18:43:26 GMT. A. This has been caused in the past by virus
protection software or firewall software on your computer. Try turning
them off when posting to the discussion board.  Technically, your
system is not sending the referer field (this says who you are) when
submitting a form. The virus software and/or firewall software is
blocking that field from being sent.

This may have nothing to do with recent changes here; in my case, using a different firewall application.
