Steve Z,

Thanks for the info.  I actually bought the present version of Zoot long before the preview was finally released.  The “preview” is at least 4 years old.  Before that, 4.0 was supposed to be released in ‘99, I think (or maybe earlier), but Tom Davis spent a LOT of time working on Outlook compatibility.  Then it was in “preview mode” while he made fixes and worked on the help file.  I expect to be too decrepit to care by the time he converts to 32 bit and RTF.  (Probably he should just go straight to 64 bit, since I expect that will be the standard by the time he finishes.)

Other than playing with it at first, I haven’t used Zoot precisely because of the lack of formatting.  But no other PIM I’ve tried since GrandView has really helped in “Getting It OUT,” so I may try Zoot.  A current project I’m on has really brought home to me just how inadequate current, reasonably priced, bugless PIMs are for storing information beyond simple things like names, addresses, booklmarks, etc.
