Thanks for the info on MyInfo, Steve. I’ll be interested in hearing your views on AnyNotes. I’ve eyed it myself, but haven’t tried it yet (at least I don’t think so; I try so many of these things I don’t always remember them all).

Another outliner app that has been around for awhile is InfoTree by Next Word (http://www.nextword.com). It’s a strange app with lots of unusual features for a hierarchical freeform database… one of which is that it allows you to set up fields within your notes for a not-so-freeform database. This would be a handier feature if you could run reports and tables from these fields. As it is, the fields really just function as a fancy template—not necessarily a bad idea.

Anyway, the reason I bring InfoTree up is that another feature is that you can assign keywords to each of your notes, making it one of the few outliners with this feature. I know some folks were looking for this feature a week or so ago.
