Now I don’t think that I need anything else (simple outliners aside -I’m using MyBase and KeyNotes).

I’m curious about one point. Since MyBase and KeyNote are both hierarchical freeform databases, how do you use both of them. Do you find the specific strengths sufficient to offset bifurcating your data?

I have just started looking at MyBase, and it seems to have some unusual strengths for this category. Not just the well-known ease of collecting web material, but also in reorganization. I haven’t tried it,but the web site describes a utility for moving sets of branches. If I’m reading it right, this is the only two-pane outliner I know of that implements mark and gather.
