Try this:
In outlining mode, note the name of the style in the box at the left of a toolbar. Open format menu. Choose Styles… In the Styles box, highlight the name of the style and click modify (or new). Make appropriate changes in the format-paragraph screen. No guarantees and you may have to do this for each level.

Afterword, make sure you have the right style showing in the upper left toolbar box.
