I’ve been using Grandview for many years for writing lectures, reading-lists, course outlines, planning articles, etc. It’s one of the main reasons - along with Lotus Magellan, Lotus Agenda,  WordPerfect 6, etc. - that I still do my serious work in DOS, under DESQview of course.

I recently bought a copy of Maxthink, mainly to see whether it would deal with a fix that I sometimes get into with Grandview - finding that what started as a short, succinct outline has turned into a rambling, shaggy-haired monster with an undisciplined maxture of notes and comments. Maxthink - the old DOS version - has a procedure called bin sort that I thought might provide a useful way of getting some order into these outlines.

The problem I am having is finding a practicable way of exporting GV files in a form for importing into Maxthink that preserves the outlining structure without too much later editing. Grandview offers a way of importing from it. Maxthink but not a way of exporting to it - (I wonder why <g>).

Has anyone found a good solution for this problem?

Derek
