This post falls into two categories: What’s Become of It? and Where Has the Time Gone?

The people at Bitsmith Software have been blogging a lot lately about their venerable application Personal Knowbase. Recently they posted a 20th anniversary post, which some of you may find interesting:

PK is actually a pretty robust notes manager. It was one of the first apps I know of that relied on tagging for its organizational scheme—although they called (and still do call) tags “keywords.” The biggest problem with the app is that it is an island, without any inter-operability. Anyone okay with that would probably find PK a quite palatable application, even though it has a retro look and feel.
