Might be accurate news:

$19.99 is a very reasonable price (assuming full compatibility with the desktop).

Yes, it’s accurate.

Here’s the tail-piece from the round-robin about the Summer-Fest 2016 sale of software that Keith B, the Scrivener developer, sent out out a couple of days ago:

‘We’re making good on our last newsletter promise ‘… short of the annihilation of all species, we’ll be bringing Scrivener on iOS to you during 2016.’

After a much prolonged gestation period, we’ll be bringing Scrivener to iOS before the close of July 2016. As many of you are aware, we’ve been working on this project for over 5 years, so we’re exhausted, but happy that the process is finally coming to a close. Scrivener on iOS pricing will be set at US$19.99, and will be available, like all iOS apps, through Apple’s iTunes App Store. We’ll be sending out another newsletter when we’ve completed beta testing, and joyously pressed the relevant publish button!”

I will be so happy for Keith and his crew when they get this Herculean job done. I’ll also immediately pony up my $19.99 for the app.

To judge from a blog post Keith has released today, the initial reaction of beta-testers has been very favourable: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/blog/ My own lips are of course firmly sealed. ;)

... you naughty boy, you didn’t mention the highly drool-worthy (and enticingly short) video in the blog post.

Keith’s obviously learned a thing or two from the canny Ulysses team and their reveal-based intro to the app.

Wow. Looking good!
