I am glad to announce that only today - exactly one year after OutlineEdit’s release - the application is 50% off its regular price.
Get OutlineEdit for only $4.99.

Best regards,

PS: a nice 1.5 update is on its way!

Thank you for the deal!

I have been using OutlineEdit for a little while and I like the responsiveness of the application; there are some things I would like to give a honest feedback to:

1. Clicking on the “Add Title” line doesn’t actually make the “Add Title” text disappear
2. It would be nice to be able to define custom markup/ bullet hierarchy (e.g. Level 1 dash, Level 2 •, Level 3 empty dot etc; or 1., 1.1, 1.1.1; Harvard)
3. Should that be impossible/ not coherent with your product strategy, I was wondering why both Level 1 and Level 2 have the same dash
4. It would be nice to be able to change the font

Of course I recognise that this is totally unsolicited feedback and that it might not be coherent with your idea of outliner, which is totally fair. Anyway, thank you for your great commitment to build and continually update this great piece of SW.

PS I’d be curious to know about the future plans for the window docking feature, considered the new split window in El Capitan

Thanks for your feedback!

Here are some thoughts:

1: I personally prefer the current behaviour, treating the placeholder like an actual headline and just greying it out to show the temporary character; but I will think about it
2, 3 and 4: Of course I have thought about that; in part it’s just my personal preference to begin with - I am sure this could all be addressed in the not too distant future ;)

I am glad that Apple finally makes improvements to multitasking in fullscreen, but I don’t think the new split screen mode can replace the sometimes useful window docking shortcuts when working on a normal desktop.

I am working hard to improve the application and hope that it will be better than ever in the future, beginning with the 1.5 enhancement & stability update in the next few days (I know the weaknesses and am working on them fully committed).

Best regards,

Robin

Robin, thank you for your prompt reply and for your ongoing commitment, which is absolutely reassuring considering the ups & downs of the app market.

Keep up the good work (and posting it here :-) )!

Andrea
