Anything else in the Info Select - AllMyNotes neighbourhood these days?

I have IS on my laptop but need similar on my new desktop. I don’t want to pay for it again, and AllMyNotes has a quirk or two which I can’t live with. (Hacking .ini files to change tree font size, good grief…..) What else is there in the notes-with-a-flexible-tree category? FIle menus which use genealogical terminology are not on. (Children, grandparents, et al..)

I’m not a user of any of them, but the ones that seem to be active and are frequently discussed are RightNote and MyInfo. Then there is Ultra Recall.

The application that I always thought most closely matched InfoSelect is Ariadne. It has been around a while, but still appears to be in development. Here’s the developer’s URL:
I just downloaded it and installed in on my MacBook—it is cross platform—and see that it has a lot of new features from the last time I checked it out. May be worth purchasing for myself!!!

Thank you. Those two look similar, so I should try them. I note that RightNote is only useful in the Pro version, as only it has useful search function. That’s OK, they’re not obliged to give it away.

I just ran into KeepNote. I recall looking at it long ago, and thought it was not bad, but I don’t recall it well. It’s on my short list.
I should add that I may just decide to use Info Select via TightVNC, TeamViewer; that is, leave my laptop on and run Info Select by remote control. That’s not an ideal solution.
