Not a recommendation but it is what I’ve fashioned for tasking. It seems to be working ok. Probably more complicated than it needs to be & I’m always looking to refine, simplify it. Suggested changes are surely welcome.

GTD Inbox. All tasks entered here in a special form template. Some are linked to other items as necessary. For example: If I have to call the florist to place an order, I will link to that contact so I can always click on the parent to get the tel # & take notes in the contact detail area.

Groups = Active/Inactive
  Active = Action = yes
  Inactive = Action = no

@Attributes

  @Priority = 0 -> 5 (number the for sorting purposes)
  None, Done, As Able, As Required, Urgent

  @Category = 1 -> 9 (number the for sorting purposes)
  Appt, Todo/Ernd, Phone/Email, Reminder/Foloup, Idea/Research, Financial, WWW, Waiting,            Deferred/Pending

  Reminders are set to view upcoming tomorrow, next week, next month as needed
