If you want a free very fast and small (2mb) PDF reader, have a look at Foxit.

Unlike Acrobat reader, foxit opens almost instantaneously on my PC, compared to extended hard drive chuntering with Adobe.

I paid the extra $40 to get the Pro Pack which gives you mark up and note tools which are saved with the PDF and can be read by Acrobat as well as Foxit. Actually the free version has the same tools but it adds a watermark to any PDFs it edits.

It is a great alternative to Acrobat Reader

It seems to be the season for me changing my mind about things :-(

I have just installed Acrobat reader 8, and it is much much faster launching than version 7.  So apart from the smaller download, and the mark up features, Foxit seems to have lost the main reason that I started using it.
